  3. If you are an absolute beginner to the intricacies of the CLI, here is one
  4. place to start learning.  You should read the Commodore manual that you got 
  5. with your computer first, then try out some commands in these tutorials.  
  6. Unless, of course, you have an Amiga A1200, in which case you have no 
  7. manuals!  SO I recommend you buy a third-party Amiga 1200 Shell manual.

  9. Should you ever find the need for a larger CLI window, do the following...
  10.  
  11.     1.  Click on the CLI window's shrink/expand gadget.
  12.     2.  Click on the CLI window's front/back gadget if it is not in
  13.         front of the text window.
  14.  
  15. To shrink it again, just click again on the shrink/expand gadget.
  16.  
  17. Remember that the C.L.Index section is not for absolute beginners so I 
  18. suggest you try out these tutorials if you are at all unsure of how to use 
  19. the CLI (Shell).

  21. The terms CLI and Shell are readily interchanged within this text.  They 
  22. both mean the same thing - the small window at the bottom of the screen.  
  23. To type a command at the Shell prompt, simply click inside the window and 
  24. type.  When you need to move the text down, just click inside the text 
  25. window and use the cursor keys or gadgets as normal.

  27. Throughout the tutorials, you type the text in colour.  Do not type in
  28. the things in colour outside of the tutorial section.  These are just for
  29. reference purposes.

  31. Now quit PPmore and double click on Tutorial 1.
